Trainee Caretaker

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Cardiff to assist with the appointment of a Trainee Caretaker on a 3month contract highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: 10.79 13.50 per hour

Summary:

To assist with providing a mobile caretaking and cleaning service for all communal areas within blocks of flats including highrise blocks and community living complexes within Cardiff. Also to assist with the cleaning and clearance within hostels and all other supported housing accommodation including Voids HLS and other properties within the housing services stock.

This will include the reporting of repairs fly tipping and antisocial behaviour issues on a daily basis.

Responsibilities:

• To assist with the delivery of a highquality mobile cleaning service and clean and clear support to Voids HLS and Hostels.
• To undertake all duties in line with service area and corporate policies and procedures.
• To ensure risk assessments are followed and tasks are carried out and any council vehicle is driven in accordance with the councils health and safety policy and the relevant procedures.
• Report repairs and ensure that if asbestos has been disturbed it is reported to Community Action Supervisor promptly.
• To assist with the cleaning and clearance of properties the surrounding or communal areas utilising appropriate plant and equipment as necessary.
• To assist in maintaining routine documentation including daily defect book drivers daily return forms and other transport documentation.

Experience:

• Experience of using new technology.
