Reporting to the Head of Finance and General Manager the Bookkeeper is responsible for executing daytoday accounting and bookkeeping tasks including managing the payment cycle. The primary mission is to ensure all company transactions are accurately tracked. This role demands consistency accuracy and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Transactions:
- Process and record all financial transactions including accounts payable accounts receivable payroll and bank statements.
- Execute all payments and reconcile bank accounts weekly.
- Manage petty cash and assist with expense reports and reimbursements.
- Monthly and Yearly Reporting:
- Perform weekly and monthly budget control.
- Prepare monthly financial statements including income statements balance sheets and cash flow statements.
- Close the books monthly and annually.
- Generate reports for management and stakeholders.
- Assist with budgeting and financial forecasting.
- Compliance:
- Maintain accurate and uptodate financial records according to Indonesian and US accounting standards and regulations.
- Work with external auditors to ensure compliance during audits.
- Stay informed of changes in Indonesian and US tax laws and regulations.
- Taxation:
- Manage monthly payroll tax reporting for Indonesia and the US.
- Manage sales tax reporting for Indonesia and the US.
- Prepare monthly and annual tax returns for all entities (Indonesia Singapore US).
Qualifications:
- Willing to relocate to Bali.
- Minimum of 35 years of experience as a bookkeeper preferably in an international company.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and Indonesian GAAP.
- Proficiency in bookkeeping software (e.g. Xero).
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of Singaporean accounting practices is a plus.
Additional Information:
- This role will be based in our Bali office Indonesia.
- Fluency in Bahasa Indonesia is required.
- Fluency in English is required.
