Job Description

As an Audit Manager you will be responsible for managing and leading audit engagements in the government education and public sectors. You should have a strong background and experience in auditing.

Key Challenges Ahead
  • Lead Audit Engagements: Plan execute and oversee audit assignments from start to finish coordinating audit staff to ensure timely and accurate completion of deliverables.
  • Client Management:
  • Utilize document management software and firm resources to efficiently complete audit assignments.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for audit teams ensuring they are informed of engagement progress and logistics.
  • Gain the respect and confidence of the team by effectively managing client requests providing timely and accurate communication and giving clear direction.
  • Compliance and Regulation: Ensure audits are conducted in accordance with GAAP industry standards and regulatory requirements specific to the mortgage sector.

Team Leadership:

  • Mentor and train audit staff providing guidance and feedback to support their professional development.
  • Develop a detailed engagement work plan monitor project status against the plan and communicate schedule adjustments to the audit team.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends regulatory changes and best practices to enhance audit processes and deliverables.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor s degree in Accounting or related field; CPA certification preferred or in progress.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of audit experience preferably within the mortgage industry or related financial services.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in audit and accounting software including ProSystem fx and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities with keen attention to detail.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly present findings and recommendations.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead audit teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ethics: High level of integrity and professionalism committed to upholding ethical standards.
