Job Description
Consulting Electrical Engineer Building Sector
Location: Pretoria South Africa
Position: Consulting Electrical Engineer
Requirement: ECSA Registered Professional Electrical Engineer
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage electrical design and project management within the building consulting services sector.
- Oversee projects from concept through to closeout ensuring timely and quality delivery.
- Must have developed electrical designs and specifications for lightning power lightning protection systems and PV installations.
- Prepare tender Bills of Quantities and manage the entire tender process.
- Utilize AutoCAD for schematic layouts of distribution boards and MCCs (Motor Control Centers).
- Write professional reports and maintain communication with clients and stakeholders.
- Conduct site project office and technical meetings keeping detailed minutes.
- Engage in marketing and business development activities to secure new projects.
Minimum Requirements:
- Qualification: BEng or BTech in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience: At least 5 years of consulting services experience in the building sector.
- Design Skills: Handson experience in electrical design including power and lighting systems.
- Project Management: Proven experience managing multidisciplinary teams technical staff and financial aspects of projects.
- AutoCAD: Proficient in creating detailed schematics for electrical systems.
- Communication: Excellent writing and communication skills including report writing and professional correspondence.

- Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.
