Job Description
Overview:
Key Responsibilities:
- Write and optimize SQL queries
- Develop and maintain MySQL databases
- Participate in database design and architecture decisions
- Perform data analysis to identify trends and insights
- Conduct query optimization and performance tuning
- Assist in troubleshooting database issues
- Collaborate with the development team on integration of database applications
- Ensure data integrity and security
- Contribute to documentation of database processes and best practices
- Assist in database migration and upgrades
- Generate reports and dashboards from MySQL databases
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on databaserelated code
- Support data warehousing and ETL processes
- Assist with data modeling and schema design
- Stay updated with industry best practices and technologies in database management
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field
- Proficiency in SQL and MySQL
- Understanding of database management and design principles
- Knowledge of data analysis and visualization techniques
- Experience with query optimization and performance tuning
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve database issues
- Familiarity with ETL processes and data warehousing concepts
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Attention to detail and commitment to data integrity
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g. Git)
- Experience with database migration and upgrade processes
- Knowledge of data modeling and schema design best practices
- Understanding of security and compliance considerations in database management
