Job Description
Are you an experienced Accountant in the forex industry
Do you have Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Then this role might be what you were looking for!
In this position you will ensure accurate financial records and regulatory compliance also to provide essential insights for business growth.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and uptodate financial records for all transactions.
- Ensure proper documentation and filing of financial documents.
- Prepare financial statements including balance sheets income statements and cash flow statements.
- Generate monthly quarterly and annual financial reports for management and stakeholders.
- Perform regular reconciliations of bank statements accounts receivable and accounts payable.
- Reconcile discrepancies and ensure financial records are accurate.
- Prepare and file tax returns ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Stay updated on tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audits.
- Provide necessary documentation and explanations to support audit processes.
- Monitor compliance with internal controls.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Work closely with other departments to provide financial insights and support.
- Collaborate with external parties such as banks vendors and clients as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting Finance Economics or a related field.
- Professional certification (e.g. ACCA) is a plus.
- Proven experience in accounting specifically within the Forex or Payments industry (minimum 35 years).
- Indepth understanding of forex markets currency fluctuations and payment processing systems.
- Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks Xero SAP or similar ERP systems.
- Experience with multicurrency accounting international payment platforms (SWIFT SEPA) and foreign exchange operations.
- Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills with strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
