Job Description

As an IT Engineer you will:
  • Ensure the effective use of event management processes and toolsets.
  • Oversee the timely resolution of IT incidents including impact assessment prioritization and dispatching to relevant teams.
  • Manage incident documentation and structured reporting.
  • Approve and coordinate authorized service interruptions (ASI/SO) to minimize business downtime.
  • Participate in the change management process to ensure rollouts new releases and service modifications are wellcoordinated.
  • Provide technical advice coordination and support in Operations Centre Incident Response.
  • Engage with crossfunctional teams to prioritize tasks during service restoration and risk mitigation.
  • Liaise with other operational entities to enhance incident management toolsets.
  • Gather process and analyze data to drive continual service improvements.
  • Monitor and improve the incident management process and tools within the Operations Centre.
  • Lead the major incident management process review associated procedures and ensure compliance with best practices.
  • Work independently with limited supervision and when required lead others or deputize for senior staff.
What You Bring to the Table:
  • A Master s degree in a relevant field with 2 years of postrelated experience or a Bachelor s degree with 4 years of postrelated experience. Instead of a degree 10 years of progressive experience in related duties will be considered.
  • ITIL Service Operations and ITIL Foundation certification.
  • Strong understanding of telecommunications network and IT solutions.
  • Experience in service management based on ITIL principles using relevant toolsets like ITSM.
  • Technical leadership experience with strong analytical organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Knowledge of international environments including military and civilian elements.
You Should Possess the Ability to:
  • Handle multiple incidents simultaneously adapting to changing requirements.
  • Drive manage and maintain major incident processes and associated procedures.
  • Provide effective technical leadership ensuring successful outcomes during service restoration.
  • Review and audit incident management practices for continuous improvement.
