Job Description

This is a remote position.

***Please Note:This is a Remote however the Candidate are expected for up to 6 trips per year to the Project Location.

About the Position

  • Work with Task Manager to input update delete and review AMSCM data
  • Work with Task Manager and other specialists (District/field office specialists)to translate digital/paper files into data for entry into AMSCM
  • Quality of the data can be digital scan paper. Digital can be spreadsheets with hundreds of data fields reports that are PDF or Word documents geodatabases that have different data fields thatneed mapped to out geodatabase. Paper can be reports that have not been scanned including maps thatare hand drawn Stacks of reports that are paper form that need scanned and then digitized into thedatabase including geospatial data and PDF attachments. File cabinets in field offices district officesstate offices that have data in them that need scanned and digitized.
  • Support the data integrity of the program by providing Quality Assurance Quality Control (QA/QC) of inputted data
  • Work with Task Manager to document and improve the overall quality of AMSCM data
  • Generate digital map products using AMSCM related data
  • Assist with data sharing and data management activities.
  • Coordinate with the Task Manager for data management as follows:
    • Review/input data to AMSCM for approximately 41000 sites* and 70000 features*
    • Reevaluate and update approximately 50000 features nationwide
    • Check and verify approximately 130000 feature records for accuracy
    • Check and verify approximately 60000 site records for accuracy


Requirements

Basic Skills and Qualifications Required:
  • Associate degree with data entry technicians should have sufficient experience with both data entry validation and modern GISbased information systems necessary to successfully accomplish the required tasks.

  • Potential data entry technicians should have sufficient experience with both data entry validation and modern GISbased information systemsnecessary to successfully accomplish the required tasks. The BLM s Task Manager will provide training on the specific database and the GIS platform necessary for performance of tasks which includes instructional videos training manual and oneonone training via Microsoft TEAMS.
  • Candidate should possess specific database and GIS technology that the data entry technicians will be utilizing and need to have experience with including the following:
    • The enterprise EGDB is branch version utilizes Enterprise Portal.
    • On Prem Federated server with future to be cloud based for the server and the geodatabase
    • Web application uses the edit and smart edit widgets edit can also be done using versioning via edit tools in ArcGIS Pro also can edit through experience builder application. Editing from the field uses Field maps application.
    • Web maps PDF maps reports and dashboards.



Basic Qualifications: Minimum knowledge, skills, abilities needed. Bachelor s degree and 7 years of experience, Master's degree and 5 years of experience, or 11 years of experience in lieu of a degree At least 4 years experience using customer-focused Splunk Enterprise Security SIEM engineering background - SME knowledge of ES v4.7 At least 4 years experience in a senior Splunk role working in a Splunk clustered environment supporting SOC or NOC environments At least 4 years of experience with: In-depth knowledge of designing, upgrading, maintaining and implementing network devices on a large-scale enterprise Direct experience with Splunk Engineering and data integration Prior SIEM data modelling experience on similar platform at scale (>50 servers) Scripting and development skills in Python/Perl with deep comprehension of regular expressions Coordination and communication with other remotely deployed team members Developing documentation with processes and procedures Proposing, implementing automation features in a large enterprise environment At least 3 years of experience with Linux and SQL/ODBC interfaces At least 2 years of experience in app interface development, using REST API s Hold active Splunk Core Certifications of at least Splunk Architect Minimum of 3 year of experience in developing and tailoring reporting from network security tools. Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Public Trust clearance Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with these skills will be given preferential consideration. Experience with Splunk Common Information Model (CIM) and Enterprise Analytic Strong problem-solving abilities with an analytic and qualitative eye for reasoning under pressure. Self-starter with the ability to independently prioritize and complete multiple tasks with little to no supervision Knowledge of Cloud Services such as AWS, Azure, Office365 Ability to script in one more of the following computer languages Python, Bash, Visual Basic or Powershell Experience in automating Splunk Deployments and orchestration with in a Cloud environment
