Job Description
Job Title: NonTherapeutic Aide

Join our team as a NonTherapeutic Aide and be a part of a mission that changes lives every day.
Scope of Service: We are seeking NonTherapeutic Aides to support students with academic tasks transitions toileting and changing as needed. Aides will also assist with classroom management and provide instructional support under the supervision of a teacher.
Key Responsibilities:
- Help students stay focused on academic tasks.
- Assist with transitioning toileting and changing.
- Provide classroom management support and disseminate instructional materials.
- Assist students in computer labs and other instructional activities.
- Support students during field trips transportation or other offsite activities.
Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED.
- Must have least 20 hours focused on behavior management strategies. (Training will be provided)
- Must have Basic Cardiac Life Support through American Heart Association
- Ability to speak read write and understand Standard English.
- Must demonstrate emotional and mental maturity with an interest in working with disabled children.
- Ability to provide satisfactory work and personal references.
- Must pass background check and fingerprinting as required by Maryland law.
Ideal Candidates:
- CNAs with Educational Interest: Certified Nursing Assistants who are interested in transitioning to an educational environment can leverage their healthcare skills and receive additional training for this position.
- Special Education Students or Graduates: Individuals studying or recently graduated in fields like special education psychology or child development are ideal for gaining handson experience.
- Behavioral Aides: Candidates with experience in behavior management or working oneonone with students will be wellequipped to handle the responsibilities of this role.
Work Schedule: Aides must be present whenever the student is present at school or during schoolrelated functions. The daily hours will align with the students schedule.
Transportation: Aides are responsible for their own transportation to the starting location and may be required to accompany students on city transportation.
