Job Description

PROJECT ENGINEER (MARITIME) R 50k pm neg Co Car Perf Bonus PAARDEN EILAND

Our client an international maritime manufacturing and refurbishment group has an outstanding opportunity available for a Project Engineer with experience in the construction maintenance or maritime industry.

Requirements

As a Project Engineer you will be responsible for managing revamping and maintenance projects from the initial site survey through to completion. You will handle the technical and operational aspects of projects including cost estimation client negotiations and ensuring compliance with all regulations. You will collaborate closely with clients contractors and internal teams to deliver highquality timely and costeffective solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Site Survey Cost Estimation Client Negotiation Project Planning Project Coordination QA & Compliance Communication Budget & Cost Control Technical Support

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor s degree in Engineering (Civil Mechanical Marine or related field).

EXPERIENCE:
  • 35 years of experience in project engineering within the maritime construction or maintenance industry.
  • Certification in Project Management (PMP or equivalent) is a plus.
  • Expertise in project management tools (e.g. MS Project AutoCAD) and cost estimation software.
  • Ideal is previous experience in maritime repair industry and knowledge of local key players.
  • Familiarity with industryspecific health safety and environmental regulations.
  • Proven experience in project management cost estimating and client negotiation.
  • Strong knowledge of maritime accommodation systems engineering principles and industry standards.
  • Willingness to travel to offshore and onsite locations as required.
  • Flexibility in work hours including evenings or weekends may be required depending on project deadlines.
