Job Summary:
Milele is seeking a seasoned and strategic Demand Planning Manager to lead our Demand Planning Department. The successful candidate will oversee a team of 5 professionals ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of demand planning processes. This role requires a strong blend of analytical functional and technical skills and leadership capabilities to drive the department toward achieving business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Team Management:
- Lead mentor and develop a team of 5 demand planning professionals.
- Foster a collaborative and highperformance team culture.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
Demand Planning and Forecasting:
- Develop and implement robust demand planning processes.
- Analyze historical data and market trends to generate accurate demand forecasts.
- Collaborate with sales marketing and finance teams to align demand forecasts with business objectives.
Inventory Management:
- Optimize inventory levels to balance supply and demand effectively.
- Implement inventory control measures to minimize excess stock and stockouts.
ERP System Management:
- Oversee the utilization of ERP systems (Oracle SAP Microsoft) for demand planning activities.
- Ensure data accuracy and system integrity.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Utilize advanced Excel skills to create comprehensive reports and dashboards.
- Analyze large datasets to identify trends risks and opportunities.
- Present findings and recommendations to senior management.
Process Improvement:
- Continuously evaluate and improve demand planning processes.
- Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with crossfunctional teams to ensure seamless demand planning operations.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in supply chain management Business Administration or a related field. A masters degree or professional certification (e.g. APICS CPIM) is a plus.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in demand planning supply chain management or a related field.
- Proven experience in a managerial role leading and developing a team.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems such as Oracle SAP or Microsoft.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
