Job Description
Overview
Key responsibilities
- Assist in designing and developing SQL or MySQL databases
- Write and optimize complex SQL queries for performance and efficiency
- Conduct data analysis and provide insights for decisionmaking processes
- Support database maintenance and troubleshooting activities
- Collaborate with the development team to integrate databases with applications
- Create and maintain documentation for databases and data processes
- Assist in implementing data security and integrity measures
- Participate in the development of databasedriven software applications
- Contribute to data modeling and database schema design
- Troubleshoot and resolve databaserelated issues
- Participate in database performance tuning and optimization
- Assist in data migration and transformation processes
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to understand data needs and requirements
- Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies in database management
Required qualifications
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field
- Understanding of SQL and MySQL database concepts and principles
- Basic knowledge of database design and normalization
- Familiarity with data analysis and visualization tools
- Strong problemsolving and analytical skills
- Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Detailoriented with a commitment to accuracy in database work
- Understanding of database indexing and query optimization
- Knowledge of database security best practices
- Familiarity with database administration and maintenance tasks
- Ability to learn new technologies and tools quickly
- Experience with any programming language such as Java Python or C is a plus
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes is advantageous
- Familiarity with NoSQL databases like MongoDB or Cassandra is a bonus
