Job Description
Overview
Key responsibilities
- Assist in database design and development using SQL and MySQL
- Write and optimize SQL queries
- Conduct database testing to ensure data integrity
- Assist in data migration transformation and scripting
- Collaborate with the team to troubleshoot databaserelated issues
- Assist with query performance tuning and optimization
- Develop and maintain documentation on database processes and procedures
- Assist in database security and user access management
- Participate in the planning and implementation of database upgrades and patches
- Work on data analysis and reporting tasks
- Assist in the implementation of data warehousing solutions
- Contribute to the development of databasedriven web applications
- Participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions
- Keep abreast of the latest database technologies and best practices
- Adhere to company and industry data management standards and regulations
Required qualifications
- Enrollment in a bachelors or masters degree program in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field
- Basic understanding of database systems and SQL
- Knowledge of MySQL and its features
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
- Familiarity with database design and normalization principles
- Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate effectively
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic understanding of data warehousing concepts
- Attention to detail and accuracy in work
- Passion for learning and a proactive attitude
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks
- Understanding of database security and access control
- Familiarity with web development technologies (HTML CSS JavaScript) is a plus
- Experience with version control systems such as Git is advantageous
- Previous internship or project experience in database management is a plus
