Job Description
Overview:
Key Responsibilities:
- Reviewing and analyzing system specifications
- Executing test cases and analyzing results
- Reporting and documenting technical issues
- Identifying isolating and tracking bugs through resolution
- Collaborating with crossfunctional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle
- Developing and executing manual test scripts
- Validating and verifying software applications
- Creating and maintaining comprehensive test documentation
- Participating in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements product designs schedules and potential issues
- Conducting prerelease and postrelease testing
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
- Identifying opportunities for process and quality improvements
- Adhering to quality assurance best practices and standards
- Training and mentoring junior QA team members
- Performing adhoc testing as required
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field
- Proven experience as a QA Manual Tester or similar role
- Deep understanding of testing methodologies tools and processes
- Proficiency in writing clear concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
- Ability to document and track bugs with precision
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
- Solid knowledge of software QA methodologies tools and processes
- Experience with different types of testing such as functional regression and user acceptance testing
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Detailoriented with a strong commitment to quality and thoroughness
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
- Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced environment
- Certifications in Quality Assurance is a plus
- Knowledge of SQL and scripting is an advantage
- Experience with performance and security testing is desirable
