Job Description
- A new manufacturing facility is being established in Senai Ipark Johor Bahru specializing in medical devices injection molding and precision engineering. Job Description:
- Mechanical Maintenance & Repair:
Perform regular maintenance and repair work on mechanical systems including molding machines and ancillary equipment.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues to ensure minimal disruption to production processes.
- Molding & Medical Plastics Expertise:
Apply your knowledge of molding processes to maintain and optimize equipment used in the production of medicalgrade plastic products.
Ensure that all mechanical systems are calibrated and maintained to meet the rigorous standards required for medical plastics manufacturing.
- Preventive Maintenance:
Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules for all critical mechanical equipment.
Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities including parts replacement and system modifications.
- Continuous Improvement:
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the reliability and efficiency of mechanical systems and equipment.
Work closely with the engineering and production teams to identify areas for improvement in equipment performance.
- Safety & Compliance:
Ensure that all mechanical maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.
Follow industry standards and best practices particularly in the maintenance of equipment used in medical plastics production.
- Spare Parts & Tools Management:
Monitor inventory levels of spare parts and tools required for mechanical maintenance activities.
Coordinate with procurement to ensure the timely availability of highquality parts and components.
- Technical Support & Training:
Provide technical support and guidance to production operators on the proper use and maintenance of mechanical systems.
Assist in the installation setup and commissioning of new mechanical equipment.
Requirements
- Diploma or certification in Mechanical Engineering Mechatronics or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Mechanic Technician with a strong background in molding within the plastic manufacturing industry.
- Expertise in medical plastics is a significant advantage.
- Proficient in the maintenance and repair of mechanical systems particularly those used in molding processes.
- Fluent in Mandarin both written and spoken to effectively communicate with Mandarinspeaking colleagues and stakeholders.
