Job Description
Company Background:
- A new manufacturing facility is being established in Senai Ipark Johor Bahru specializing in medical devices injection molding and precision engineering. We welcome talent with relevant industry experience to apply. For the right candidate our client is prepared to offer up to a 30% increase on your current salary.
Job Description:
1. Tooling Maintenance & Repair:
- Perform routine maintenance repairs and adjustments on molds and tooling to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to tooling and mold performance to minimize production downtime.
2. Molding & Medical Plastics Expertise:
- Utilize your knowledge of molding processes to support the maintenance and improvement of tooling used in the production of medicalgrade plastic products.
- Ensure that all tooling meets the stringent requirements for medical plastics including dimensional accuracy and surface finish.
3. Tooling Setup & Optimization:
- Assist in the setup and installation of molds and tooling for new production runs.
- Work with engineering and production teams to optimize tooling performance reduce cycle times and improve product quality.
4. Quality Assurance:
- Inspect molds and tooling to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications before and after maintenance.
- Collaborate with the quality team to address any issues related to tooling that may affect product quality.
5. Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities including tooling modifications and improvements.
- Prepare reports on tooling performance highlighting any issues and recommending corrective actions.
6. Continuous Improvement:
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing tooling performance extending tool life and improving product quality.
- Stay updated on the latest developments in tooling technology and best practices in the industry.
7. Safety & Compliance:
- Ensure that all tooling maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with safety protocols and company policies.
- Comply with industry standards and regulations particularly those related to medical plastics manufacturing.
Job Requirements:
- Diploma or certification in Tooling Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Tooling Technician with a strong background in molding within the plastic manufacturing industry.
- Expertise in medical plastics is a significant advantage.
- Proficient in the use of tooling maintenance equipment and tools.
- Fluent in Mandarin both written and spoken to effectively communicate with Mandarinspeaking colleagues and stakeholders.
Salary Range:
- From RM3500 to RM6000
