We are looking for a Microclimate Simulation Developer to join our fastgrowing team working to decarbonize buildings and construction currently responsible for around 40% of global carbon emissions.

This fulltime permanent position is available on a remote basis for candidates based in Europe or from our office in Helsinki.
What you will do:
- Develop enhance and maintain applications for microclimate modelling and simulation
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including environmental scientists and urban planners to understand user requirements and translate them into technical specifications
- Optimise simulation algorithms for performance and accuracy
- Conduct thorough testing to ensure software reliability and stability
- Design and implement intuitive and efficient user interfaces (UI) for simulation software
- Document software design code and user manuals
- Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in software development microclimate modelling and environmental simulation
- Develop and maintain endpoints between simulation core and supporting software
What you need:
- Masters degree in computational fluid dynamics Meteorology Physical Geography Climatology or other related fields
- Experience or good understanding of climate simulations
- Willingness to do handson development on the software
- Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Fluency in English as it is our working language
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with microclimate modelling and simulation preferably ENVImet
- Experience in Software development
- Experience with graphical user interface (GUI) development
- Experience with 3D visualisation and rendering technologies
- Experience in programming languages Delphi and python
- Knowledge of environmental modelling and GIS (Geographic Information Systems)
