Job Description
Urgent requirement of System Administrator (Red Hat Linux Engineer) Contract Canberra
Requirements
DEF22891 and Project HOTCHILLIE are projects managed within ASD to build and uplift ICT systems and support organisational elements.
The primary responsibilities and technical experience for the required roles are detailed below.
Essential Criteria
- Develop and operate an integrated RHEL server platform including RHEL IdM and Satellite.
- Design test and deploy new versions of the RHEL operating system build and maintain system images and provide integration for VMware.
- Integrate and support management and security software and configurations.
- Provide server automation.
- Integrate with MFA solutions.
- Implement regular checks to confirm system status including hardware and software.
- Develop and operate a backup and recovery service for virtualised RHEL systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve RHEL issues.
- Manage server migration when required.
Desirable Criteria
- Demonstrated experience working on RHEL server platforms.
Duration: 12 Months and possible extension of another 2*12 Months
Eligibility: Australian/NZ Citizens/PR Holders with Positive Vetting Clearance only
