AU Joinery Estimator

This is a remote position.

As a Joinery Estimator you will be responsible for accurately estimating the costs and resources required for residential joinery projects (Kitchens vanities wardrobes) as well as commercial projects (daycare centres office and medical fit outs). Your primary role will involve reviewing project specifications conducting material takeoffs analysing labour requirements and preparing comprehensive cost estimates. Your attention to detail and ability to interpret architectural plans will be critical in ensuring accurate and competitive estimates. You will collaborate closely with project managers suppliers and other stakeholders to provide timely and reliable estimates that align with client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

Cabinetry Estimating: Accurately estimate the costs of residential and commercial cabinetry projects using our internal Excel Workings Sheet.

Shop Drawings Produce shop drawings for client sign off.

Contracts Admin Drawing up contracts on acceptance of Purchase Orders for accepted quotes.

Quote Preparation: Create detailed and professional quotes using Panda Docs ensuring all aspects of the project are clearly defined.

Reporting: Provide regular updates on the status of estimates orders and project progress to the sales management team.

Requirements

Experience: Minimum of 23 years of experience in cabinetry/joinery estimation within Australia preferably within the residential and commercial sectors.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in Excel for cost estimation and experience with quoting software Panda Docs.

Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of cabinetry materials manufacturing processes and supplier networks.

Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English with the ability to liaise effectively with both local and international teams.

Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in estimating and ordering processes.

Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a remote work environment.
