Job Description
Overview:
We are seeking an exceptional Senior Project Manager / Program Manager to work directly with the founder and CEO of our startup consulting firm in a chief of staff capacity. This role goes beyond traditional project management requiring expertise in professional services project management including consulting investment banking and strategic engagements. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience managing numerous projects in parallel reporting to a single stakeholder and coordinating all activities within the firm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary liaison between the CEO and all internal and external stakeholders
- Coordinate and oversee all firm activities including internal operations external client projects and strategic initiatives
- Manage multiple complex knowledgebased projects simultaneously in an agile startup environment
- Develop and implement project management processes and best practices tailored to our dynamic consulting firm
- Ensure efficient communication and collaboration across all levels of the organization
- Generate comprehensive project reports navigate complex tasks and coordinate assignments
- Set up and maintain organizational systems to maximize efficiency and success
Required Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in professional services project management particularly in consulting investment banking or strategic engagements
- Proven track record of managing tens of projects in parallel while reporting to a single highlevel stakeholder
- Strong background in agile methodologies and experience working in fastpaced knowledgebased business environments
- Exceptional proficiency in remote work including expertise in using Slack ClickUp Google Workspace and other online collaboration tools
- Demonstrated ability to create and maintain project management systems in the absence of established governance processes
- Outstanding leadership communication and problemsolving skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt quickly to changing priorities
- Strong strategic thinking and decisionmaking capabilities
- Bachelors degree in business management or related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a startup or highgrowth environment
- Background in program management or experience coordinating multiple interconnected projects
- Familiarity with consulting firm operations and client management
