Overview:
The Reservation Intern plays a crucial role in supporting the reservation team by assisting in managing the booking process and providing exceptional customer service. This role is important for ensuring the efficient and accurate handling of reservations to uphold customer satisfaction and the smooth operation of the organizations reservation systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing and updating reservation systems and databases
- Respond to customer inquiries and provide booking assistance via phone email and in person
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure accurate information and seamless guest experiences
- Support in optimizing reservation processes to maximize efficiency
- Monitor reservation trends and provide recommendations to improve booking strategies
- Assist in processing cancellations modifications and refunds as per company policies
- Conduct administrative tasks such as filing data entry and report generation
- Collaborate with team members to resolve booking discrepancies and customer issues
- Provide excellent customer service and address customer complaints or concerns
- Assist in creating and maintaining reservation records and reports
- Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized work environment in the reservation office
Required Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Hospitality Management Business Administration or related field
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and recordkeeping
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fastpaced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word Excel and Outlook
- Customer serviceoriented with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Problemsolving skills and the ability to handle challenging situations with patience
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of reservation systems and database management is a plus
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including evenings weekends and holidays as needed
- Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities as assigned
