Job Description

We are hiring an Assistant Director of Nursing for a Leading nursing home in Waterford Dublin.

Responsibilities

  • Improve and take the lead in providing residents with personcentred care.
  • Encourage the ideas of personcentred care that address the residents mental emotional physical social and spiritual needs.
  • To resolve any areas of noncompliance carry out audits and create action plans.
  • Keep uptodate working knowledge of all applicable laws guidelines and standards.
  • Planning the workforce and hiring decisions such as choosing candidates providing mentorship and implementing the necessary corrective measures.
  • Encouragement and authorization for floor managers to carry out their duties with efficiency.
  • Helps reach financial goals and objectives by conducting a business and financial analysis of performance.
  • Make that risks are proactively identified and assist the relevant individuals in the


Requirements

  • A registered nurse with a minimum of three years of experience in the last six years providing care for the elderly
  • Three years or more of experience managing people in the health and social care sector
  • Currently registered with the NMBI
  • A postregistration management degree in medicine or a similar discipline.

  • Highly sought postregistration training in gerontology and dementia care.

  • Thorough familiarity with HIQA guidelines and standards.

  • The capacity to interact with residents family coworkers management and other organizations such as HIQA HSE GPs etc. efficiently and successfully.

  • Excellent organizational personnel and financial management abilities
