Job Description

45 months contract with a Local Authority

Job Summary:

The collections team carries out service charges collections and arrears escalation service within the leasehold services team.

Directorate Housing and Regeneration Division Neighbourhoods Service Leasehold Services Team Collections

Key Duties/Accountabilities

To provide a comprehensive support service within the Leasehold Services covering the full range of administration support activity and providing an efficient and effective Leasehold transactional service.

To work with colleagues in the team to deliver excellent customer service and to continually improve service delivery.

To help process and monitor a range of service activity.

To distribute incoming correspondence in accordance with procedures.

Respond to telephone enquiries securing the best service and outcomes for customers.

To handle a range of internal and external enquiries in a polite and professional manner and referring to the appropriate officer as required.

To provide support to senior staff on a planned or adhoc basis.

To arrange service meetings book and prepare rooms prepare and circulate agendas and papers provide and circulate minutes and monitor follow up actions as necessary.

Essential Experience Required:

Administration experience is essential.

Experience of working in a customerfacing role is essential.

Relevant experience understanding of diverse needs of residents and staff Knowledge of MS Office applications basic is essential.

Experience of social housing sector is desirable.

Essential Qualification Required:

Good General Standard of Education is essential.

GCSE/O Level or equivalent level of education is desirable.

Additional information to note:

Working hours: 35 hours per week.

Work flexibly to undertake role to meet the needs of the service e.g. working at different locations is required.

Location: Tower Hamlets Town Hall E1 1BJ
