Job Summary:
The Senior Accountant is responsible for undertaking all production accounting activities including preparing reviewing and analysing financial statements and taxation requirements and delivering associated quality professional accounting outcomes.
Job Description:
- Organize and update financial records as needed (digital) for tax purposes
- Deliver operating efficiencies through Xero and business systems
- Responsible for tracking and following up on accounts receivable
- Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analysing account information
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and prepare management accounts
- Strong knowledge and experience in Australian tax compliance
- Preparation of Business Activity Statements (BAS) Installment Activity Statements (IAS) & client payroll tax reports
- General bookkeeping procedures and other ad hoc tasks as required
- Stay informed on industry developments and changes in regulations
Requirements
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in accounting Finance or any relevant field; CPA or any relevant certification preferred
- 3 years experience in general accounting and taxation or similar role in the Australian accounting industry
- Strong knowledge of basic and advanced accounting and financial principles and practices
- Demonstrable knowledge of preparing financial statements of companies trusts partnerships
- High competence in preparing and finalising company trust & partnership tax returns
- Working knowledge of MS Office and various accounting software packages 360 Xero Xero Tax
- Strong attention to detail time management and accounting administration skills
- Strong analytical problem solving and interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and verbal English business communication skills
