Job Description
We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Islington to assist with the appointment of a Learning Officer on a 3month contract likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: 20.59 26.96 per hour
Responsibilities:
- Create and lead imaginative cross curricular learning programmes for Islingtons primary special and secondary schools relevant to the National Curriculum
- Collaborate with colleagues at the Cally Clock Tower Centre to establish a joint and complementary learning programme at both sites
- Collaborate with the community to coproduce exciting fun community programmes including family under 5s activities
- Develop promote and deliver a programme of activities for families and for under 5s
- Develop and maintain internal partnerships that will help to achieve the services programming vision and objectives including colleagues in adult care childrens services and Childrens Centres etc.
Qualifications :
- Recognised professional museum or heritage education qualification
Experience:
- Experience of working in a heritage site museum or similar cultural environment
- Knowledge of and commitment to the educational and wellbeing role of heritage sites and parks and the awareness of current thinking around this
- Experience of designing and delivering learning programmes that meet the identified needs of a target audience such as families schools
people facing discrimination or social exclusion - Experience of collaborating and coproducing learning initiatives with partner organisations and targeted groups to produce new innovative learning initiatives
- Experience of managing volunteers and student placements

- This role requires an enhanced DBS
