Animal Care istant

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Waltham Forest to assist with the appointment of a Animal Care Assistant on a 3month contract highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: 12.25 15.14 per hour

Responsibilities:

• Making sure that dogs are in good health and properly cared for whilst in kennels and being transported
• Animal Welfare
• Cleanliness of kennels
• Awareness of reportable or communicable disease
• Transportation of dogs
• Dealing with member of the public
• Dealing with confrontation
• Reporting defect to vehicle and equipment
• Work shift pattern working outside normal hours including evenings and weekend flexibility to change shift according to service requirements.

Qualifications:

• Driving licence
• Own transport
• Experience of working in kennels environment in all weathers
• Experience in handling of aggressive and dangerous dogs
• Working knowledge of the Animal Welfare Act
• Working knowledge of the Dangerous Dogs Act
• Ability to work with minimum supervision
