Electrical Engineering Technician Motor Controls Cranes/Hoist Direct Hire TX
Houston Texas
Bachelors degree 37yrs related experience including as an Electrical Engineer and in electrical design and motor controls ability to travel up to 10% to sites

Job Responsibilities:
- Design electric motor controls for overhead cranes and hoists.
- Apply specifications of Magnetic Motor Starters Relays and AC inverters.
- Assist in all phases of product development engineering activities.
- Calculate wire sizes/overload protection for cranes up to 800V DC and 4160V AC.
- Resolve manufacturing problems by collaborating with engineers and technicians.
- Prepare singleline diagrams panel layouts and interconnect drawings.
- Size and specify purchase components/BOMs based on standards and vendor information.
- Provide input for design improvements to enhance functions or reduce costs.
- Modify/improve existing circuit designs as necessary.
- Work with mechanical engineering and manufacturing for control system design.
- Develop connection/cable diagrams and general arrangement drawings.
- Travel to sites for meetings or troubleshooting control systems when required.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree
- Previous experience as an Electrical Engineer is required
- Previous experience with Electrical Design is required
- Previous experience with Motor Controls is required
- AutoCAD 2016 or Zuken E3 experience
- PLC & HMI Programming experience
- NEC Electrical Code
- Rockwell Siemens or Danfoss PLC/VFD programming experience
- Ability to travel up to 10% to sites for meetings & troubleshooting
