As a Network Operations Engineer you will:
- Maintain and troubleshoot Cisco Routing and Switching elements ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Manage and configure Linux operating systems addressing and resolving basic issues.
- Oversee the design development implementation testing and maintenance of modern communications management systems in a WAN environment.
- Utilize and maintain tools such as HPE Network Automation and DX NetOps Spectrum for configuration management.
- Configure and maintain Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) 2.x or higher versions.
- Support disaster recovery storage and networking initiatives as well as the application lifecycle.
- Manage virtual environments particularly using VMware 6.x and above.
- Utilize network management protocols like SNMP WMI and SSH for effective network operations.
- Conduct traffic analysis using tools like Wireshark tcpdump and Netscout nGeniusONE.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation and Standard Operating Procedures.
What You Bring to the Table:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a practical Routing & Switching technician focused on Cisco Routing and Switching elements.
- At least 6 years of experience working in a centralized control center.
- Strong knowledge of Information Systems (IS) Engineering and associated aspects.
- Experience in the design implementation and maintenance of communications management systems in a WAN environment.
- Proficiency in configuring maintaining and troubleshooting Linux operating systems.
- Experience with DX NetOps Suite (Spectrum NFA Performance Management VNA) and HPE Network Automation.
- Knowledge of traffic analysis tools and protocols as well as disaster recovery and storage solutions.
- Experience in virtual environments using VMware and network management protocols.
- Knowledge of communications protocols and experience using diagnostic test equipment.
