SUMMARY
Under limited supervision the Professional Services Network Engineer (PSNE) is the Implementation Services Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Companys solutions and related industry technology and processes. This position provides technical direction and guidance to the required departments other internal personnel on complex or unusual installations and equipment issues installation planning and quality issues both remote and onsite as lead and guide with new and innovative approaches network design for delivery of ADSC Services. For large scale geo diverse and more complex deployments the Network Engineer may engage at the onset of a deployment to advise and troubleshoot in collaboration with the appropriate company resources to ensure successful deployments of our solutions and services. Responsible for evaluating and implementing appropriate tools required for network installations as well as to ensure seamless new product and solutions introductions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES RESPONSIBILITIES AND COMPETENCIES
Implementation Projects
With a focus on large projects assess network requirements and the resulting Services impact in the presales stage
Assist and assess the proposed network design to ensure real or potential network issues are addressed early in the process.
Provide support to Customers and Channel Partners as required.
Travel to customer site to meet with/support customers/channels/our implementation teams as required.
Perform Cisco router/switch configurations depending upon complexity.
Troubleshoot complex network issues escalated from the Field resources
Partner with System Engineering and Product Development as required to resolve issues.
Document all network changes made to the solution that may occur during the implementation phase of a project.
Ensure that complex network installation and related quality issues are resolved in a timely and efficient manner.
RFPs
Provide SME technical oversight on all major bids to determine services impact and requirements.
New Product Introduction
Training
Work with Technical teams to assess network/IP training gaps and determine proactive training requirements
Work with the Training department to provide network expertise and guidance to their course developers and to ensure that the Implementation teams are ready to support any new product introduction.
Quality and Process Improvement
Assess the tools required to perform successful implementations and prepare business case for approval.
Implement the processes associated with any new tool introductions in collaboration with management.
Assess installation methodologies research best practices and provide business case for improvements and changes.
Serve as the key resource for the FEAs who develop verify and maintain documented field processes ensuring adherence to department and corporate quality initiatives.
Serve as the key resource to FEAs on designing complex site specific Method of Procedures as required.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Advanced knowledge of IP Networking and Ethernet LAN
Extensive hands on experience in dynamic routing protocols which include BGP OSPF and EIGRP; provisioning and managing MPLS services; Ethernet LAN (VLANs spanning tree etc); LAN/WAN QoS and firewalls
Extensive hands on experience in troubleshooting complex network issues on IP and Ethernet networks network peering dynamic routing protocols and spanning tree
Extensive hands on experience in implementing high availability and redundancy in LAN/WAN (eg. VRRP HSRP redundant routes etc.
Hands on experience supporting VOIP systems in an IP LAN/WAN
Advanced knowledge of VOIP fundamentals
Good working knowledge of the SIP protocol
Ability to troubleshoot telephony issues in a high availability VOIP deployment
Good understanding of telecommunications protocols and architecture
o Certifications
CCNA CCNP or higher
Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Word Excel Access and PowerPoint.
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
