The Test Engineer designs develops and implements costeffective methods of testing and troubleshooting systems and equipment for all phases of product development. This individual prepares test and diagnostic programs designs test fixtures and equipment and completes test protocols and procedures for new and existing products.
The Test Engineer at this level works on problems of limited scope. This individual follows standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained. They will build stable working relationships internally.
The Test Engineer at this level is learning to use professional concepts. They apply company policies and procedures to resolve routine issues. This individual normally receives detailed instructions for work.
The incumbent may be asked to perform other functionrelated activities in addition to the belowmentioned responsibilities as reasonably required by business needs.
Acquires knowledge of Hologic products and their uses in clinical practice and uses this knowledge in the design development and testing of the next generation systems.
Performs assigned testing collects data and creates detailed test reports.
Performs test method validations and process validations on test equipment.
Supports development implementation and maintenance of test fixtures.
Upgrades and repairs test equipment.
Supports troubleshooting and failure analysis.
Execute Protocols and laboratory notebook studies to test and document the quality of features and functionality of our systems. She/he will be determined to search for potential product improvements and insist on the highest levels of product quality.
Apply and share knowledge of best practices in software hardware and systems testing.
A strong desire to constantly find smarter and better ways to test Hologics products so we can continue providing the best quality of care to our patients. She/he will support and provide feedback to new products by troubleshooting product and component issues.
Requirements
Previous experience is not required.
University level: A Bachelor of Engineering degree. Equivalent: University diploma or technical certification at least 350 hours.
Spanish/Fluent English (Written and Oral)
Specialized Knowledge (Desirable)
Understanding of software hardware and systems testing best practices
Abilities in testing funcional design and interface aspects of a commercial product at the board subsystem and system level
Aptitude for electromechanical equipment soldering and PCB design and testing.
Ability to use technical equipment such as multimeter oscilloscope etc.
Strong written verbal organizational and interpersonal skills. Creates precise accurate technical documentation.
Ability to work well within a team environment.
Ability to read and interpret technical documentation including mechanical drawings and circuit schemjatics.
Ability to understand troubleshoot and resolve common issues with equipment and processes.
Medical imaging or experience in an FDAregulated environment is beneficial.
Knowledge of test automation and its application in software and hardware environments is beneficial.
Familiar with Good Laboratory Practices and QSR (Quality Systems Regulations)
Problemsolving and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
Basic Skills with MS Office (Microsoft Word Excel Outlook Power Point)
Competency in statistical analysis and tools (MiniTab preferred)
