Description:
As a Senior Software Engineer you will work on a complex application contributing to its development troubleshooting performance optimization and managing integrations and deployments.
Responsibilities:
- To develop clean readable and maintainable software codes according to requirements and specifications within established or defined quality and performance standards/benchmarks and within agreedupon delivery timelines.
- Develop unittestable codes with corresponding unit tests.
- Reduce technical debt by analyzing code and enhancing the same by code refactoring.
- Perform software architecture and code review communicate the results to the Software Development Engineers and ensure they are incorporated.
- Participate in consultation with the Scrum Masters Development Leads and team members in estimating effort for work assigned.
- Participate in initiatives that improve processes and/or procedures contributing to performance effectiveness and efficiencies.
- Communicate work progress and all pertinent (workrelated) information to the Development Lead accurately and in a timely manner.
- Perform miscellaneous jobrelated duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or equivalent (required).
- 5 years of experience in an agile software development environment.
- Proficient in C#.NET ASP.NET Core Web API NHibernate and Entity Framework.
- Experience with databases like MongoDB PostgreSQL and MySQL.
- Familiarity with frontend development using ReactJS.AngularJS is a plus.
- Exposure to cloud environments and DevOps tools (Docker Jenkins Kubernetes). GCP is preferred.
- Good understanding of SOLID principles and design patterns to ensure scalable maintainable and highquality code.
- Strong foundations in engineering beyond programming languages and frameworks including knowledge of memory management caching system performance measurement Task Parallel Library (TPL) and data structures.
- Positive and professional approach at all times.
- Good analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Initiative and ability to demonstrate a proactive approach to tasks.
- Good communication skills both written and verbal.
- Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
- Ability to empathize with the customers viewpoint when designing and developing software.
- Advanced communication skills in English.
Nice to have:
- Familiarity with NodeJS Python and Go is a plus
Notes:
- This position is only available for Costa Rican citizens.
- The project is scheduled to begin in midNovember 2024 which would be the anticipated start date.
