Assistant Technical Manager (Automation and Mechanical)

(Based in Singapore)

ORGANISATION

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Support Manager to manage technical support for the team of service engineers. In this role you will be responsible for ensuring timely and effective technical support services to engineers and coordinating with internal departments to improve performance and customer satisfaction. This role will report to the Technical Service Manager.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and implement technical support strategies and procedures for service engineers before their client service calls.
  
• Provide timely and effective technical support(automation and mechanical) to engineer and customers including troubleshooting problem resolution and escalation management.
  
• Monitor and analyze technical support metrics identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  
• Collaborate with internal departments including engineering spare parts and sales to identify and address performance issues and customer feedback.
  
• Develop and maintain relationships with key customers and provide regular feedback on service performance and customer needs.
  

Requirements

• A diploma/degree in marine engineering or related discipline such as mechanical electrical or naval architecture.
  
• You have more than 10 years of experience working in a comparable repair and installation environment in the marine/shipping industry.
  
• You are passionate about machinery and engineering and strive to achieve operational excellence.
  
• A proven operations manager with experience in leading and developing multidisciplinary teams of engineers and technicians.
  
• Excellent people management capabilities able to demonstrate a significant contribution to the development of teams while improving performance.
  
• Dedicated service mindset with strong commercial sensitivity and customer focus.
  
• Proficiency in English with the ability to lead and motivate a culturally diverse workforce.
