Job brief

Software Developer to help enable NGAs Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) mission collecting sciences technology and tradecraft measuring and modeling the Globe to provide threedimensional accuracy of every point in on or above the Earth.

Responsibilities

The primary duties will be to support the development of mission critical capabilities migrated to modern cloudbased environments with the utilization of DevSecOps technologies for deployment automation serviceoriented architectures and modern code management tools and programming languages. The responsibilities involve architecting and developing software for an application modernization project for the customer. As a lead engineer you will work with the mission to transform existing enterprise software into modern cloudnative applications to reduce the time to launch and increase release frequency including code development approaches to modernize the government customers tools stack and deploy them to AWS cloud.

Requirements

• Clearance: Top Secret
• Proactive selfstarter demonstrating a positive willing attitude and excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft platform ecosystem: C Visual Basic.NET and C#
• Proficient in software development projects or software integration projects in a serviceoriented environment (Cloud SOA WebServices).
• Demonstrated handson experience with relational and nonrelational database systems such as Amazon RDS Postgres SQL
• Experience with Webrelated protocols and technologies such as web servers HTTP SSL
• Experience with AWSbased architectures and tools
• Understanding of custom code development/reviews
• Familiarity with DevSecOps methodologies and workflow
• Knowledge of SW Development and SW Sustainment Practices
• Must possess an active Top Secret Security Clearance with ability to obtain SCI post hire
• Typically requires a BS in Information Systems Information Technology Computer Science or closely related discipline and 8 years of prior relevant experience or masters with 6 years of prior relevant experience.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with GitLab CI/CD
• AWS certification (e.g. Developer DevOps Engineer Solutions Architect)
• Experience with ArcGIS or geospatial technologies
