Field Data Collector

Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled Field Data Collector with 23 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will be adept at using mobile devices and various techniques to capture and record information in the field. This role involves performing GPS tabular and photographic collections to support a range of government projects and initiatives. Familiarity with Esris mobile apps for field data collection such as Field Maps and Survey123 is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Field Data Collection: Utilize mobile devices and various methods to collect and document data in the field including GPS coordinates tabular data and photographic evidence.
  
• Data Entry and Management: Ensure accurate and efficient entry of collected data into relevant databases or systems. Maintain data quality and integrity throughout the collection process.
  
• Use of GIS Tools: Apply Esris mobile applications (e.g. Field Maps Survey123) for data collection ensuring proper usage and data accuracy.
  
• Reporting: Generate reports and summaries based on collected data. Highlight significant findings and trends as needed for project support and decisionmaking.
  
• Coordination and Communication: Work closely with project managers field teams and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and address any issues or requirements.
  
• Quality Assurance: Conduct regular checks and validation of data to ensure it meets the required standards and project specifications.
  

Qualifications:

• Experience: 23 years of experience in field data collection or a related role.
  
• Technical Skills: Proficient in using mobile devices for data collection. Strong familiarity with Esris mobile apps particularly Field Maps and Survey123.
  
• GIS Knowledge: Basic understanding of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and spatial data concepts.
  
• Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in data collection and entry. Ability to spot and correct errors.
  
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to interact effectively with team members and stakeholders.
  
• ProblemSolving: Ability to address and resolve issues that arise during field data collection and ensure smooth operations.
  
• Physical Requirements: Ability to work outdoors and in various environmental conditions as needed for field data collection.
  

Education:

• Degree: Bachelor s degree in Geography Environmental Science Data Science or a related field is preferred but not required.
