Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in database administration roles with a focus on Microsoft SQL Server and Active Directory integration within a Windows Domain environment.
- Proficiency in administering databases on Windows Server operating systems and Active Directory environments.
- Strong understanding of database architecture design and optimization principles.
- Experience with database security standards and best practices including encryption auditing and compliance requirements.
- Knowledge of database backup and recovery strategies including full differential and transaction log backups.
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex database issues and implement effective solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams and stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fastpaced environment.
- Professional certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate or equivalent are highly desirable.
Job Description
- Install configure and maintain Microsoft SQL Server database instances across multiple environments including development testing and production.
- Design and implement database security policies and procedures including user authentication authorization and access controls in alignment with Active Directory standards.
- Manage database backups recovery and disaster recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and minimize downtime in the event of system failures or disasters.
- Monitor database performance identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and optimize query performance to meet business requirements.
- Collaborate with system administrators to integrate SQL Server with Active Directory for centralized authentication and access management.
- Develop and maintain documentation including installation guides configuration guides and troubleshooting procedures to support ongoing administration and support activities.
- Implement database upgrades patches and enhancements in coordination with software vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Provide technical support and guidance to developers analysts and endusers on databaserelated issues and best practices.
- Participate in capacity planning and resource forecasting to ensure adequate storage memory and processing resources for database systems.
- Stay informed about emerging technologies trends and best practices in database administration and make recommendations for adoption and integration into the organizations IT environment.
