Doha Qatar (Hybrid) Our Finance team in Qatar is growing!
In Hitachi Rail Ground Transportation Systems we are looking for a Bids & Projects Financial Controller based in Doha Qatar who will act as main point of contact for Finance in country will lead financial management of all projects and bids in the country and support the Head of Finance and Head of Accounting & Treasury with the accounting and reporting of the country financial position.
What will your main tasks and responsibilities be
- Prepare monthly financial dashboards showing project progress in terms of key financial factors costs revenue cash and margin.
- Support the Project Manager and PMO in the daily monitoring of the financials during the project life. Take an active role in project costing and EAC updates including review of risks.
- Take an active role in managing project cash flow assisting with project payment applications and regular invoicing to the customer. Assist in the management of regular payments to internal subcontractors.
- Take an active role in supporting the commercial team in all contractual topics that impact the project and bids not limited to but including claims variations final settlements tax issues etc
- Manage financial reporting during month end closing activities in terms of accuracy and time.
- Support Head of Finance and Head of Accounting in all topics related to country financial reporting and accounting including but not limited to tax queries and topics audit both internal and external periodic financial reporting entity budgeting and forecasting.
- Manage project balance sheet.
- Take lead for financial annual project financial budgets and forecasting
- Comply with local accounting and tax laws and legislation.
What are we looking for
- 5 years work experience in Project Controlling Accounting and Reporting under IFRS 15 and complex multiunit industrial projects.
- Finance Masters degree or equivalent.
- High level of Microsoft Excel Word Power Point and SAP by Design or equivalent ERP.
- Good written and communication skills
- Fluent in English is a must.
