Job Description
Financial Controller
Job Description: Our client a manufacturing company is currently seeking a Controller to oversee financial operations. The Controller will play a key role in financial planning and reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daytoday operations of the accounting department.
- Lead the monthend and yearend close processes including preparation of financial statements balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis.
- Develop and implement financial policies procedures and internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Manage the annual budgeting and forecasting process collaborating with department heads to establish financial targets and monitor performance against goals.
- Provide strategic financial analysis and insights to senior management identifying opportunities for cost optimization revenue enhancement and risk mitigation.
- Lead the preparation of financial reports for stakeholders including management board of directors and external auditors.
- Manage cash flow treasury functions and banking relationships to optimize liquidity and maximize returns on investments.
- Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations including preparation and filing of corporate tax returns and coordination of tax planning strategies.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams on special projects such as system implementations process improvements and strategic initiatives.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA designation required
- 7 years of accounting experience including managerial roles
- Thorough knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
