The Senior QA/QC Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the quality assurance and quality control processes for manufacturing. This role ensures that products processes and systems meet regulatory and internal quality standards. The Senior QA/QC Engineer will lead a team of QA/QC professionals manage quality control processes and implement quality assurance systems to ensure the highest level of quality is achieved and maintained.
Quality Assurance:
- Develop implement and maintain quality assurance protocols procedures and systems.
- Conduct audits and inspections to ensure compliance with internal and external standards.
- Identify and resolve quality issues by analyzing root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to integrate quality standards into processes and products.
Quality Control:
- Oversee the QC process ensuring that products and services meet predefined quality standards.
- Review and approve QC documentation including test plans inspection reports and certifications.
- Monitor and report on QC performance metrics identifying areas for improvement.
- Manage nonconformance reports (NCRs) and ensure timely resolution of quality issues.
Team Leadership:
- Lead mentor and develop a team of QA/QC engineers and technicians.
- Provide training and guidance on QA/QC procedures tools and best practices.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and quality excellence within the team.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Prepare and maintain QA/QC documentation including procedures manuals and records.
- Generate quality reports for management highlighting key quality metrics and trends.
- Ensure all documentation is accurate uptodate and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards regulations and certifications (e.g. ISO 9001 ASME ASTM etc.).
- Stay updated on changes in quality regulations and standards that may impact the company.
- Lead efforts to achieve and maintain certifications and regulatory approvals.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains in QA/QC practices.
- Lead or participate in continuous improvement initiatives such as Six Sigma or Lean projects.
- Implement best practices in quality management and control to enhance overall product quality.
Requirements
Strong knowledge of quality management systems tools and methodologies.
