Ahya MENAPs first climatetech company is developing an AIpowered platform to scale climate action. We enable enterprises to measure track and reduce their greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions while ensuring transparency and environmental integrity in carbon offsetting.
The Role
We are looking for an Associate GHG Accounting with expertise in GHG accounting reporting and regulations. In this role you will assist clients across various industries in measuring reporting and reducing their GHG emissions.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide technical support in GHG accounting (Scope 1 2 and 3) and sustainability reporting
Analyze emissions data to identify trends and reduction opportunities
Apply GHG accounting methodologies and reporting frameworks like GHG Protocol GRI SASB SBTi TCFD IFRS S1 and IFRS S2
Develop sustainability strategies and netzero plans tailored to client goals
Create data visualizations to communicate environmental impacts and forecast emissions
Stay informed on emerging trends in GHG accounting and climate policy
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Environmental Science Accounting Economics Business or a related field
At least 2 years of experience in GHG accounting data management and reporting
Strong knowledge of GHG accounting methods and sustainability reporting standards
Excellent quantitative and analytical skills including climate/financial modeling and advanced Excel
Familiarity with key regulatory drivers like GHG Protocol SBTi IFRS S1 IFRS S2 CSRD and GRI
Strong communication and presentation skills
Effective time management and organizational skills for handling multiple tasks
