Job Summary:
We are seeking a detailoriented and experienced Assistant Accountant to join our team in Trichy. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting practices particularly in IT filing GST filing and TDS filing. The Assistant Accountant will support the financial team by maintaining accurate financial records preparing reports and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Main Responsibilities:
- Manage and ensure timely filing of Income Tax returns and related documents.
- Prepare and file GST returns ensuring compliance with all regulations.
- Handle TDS calculations deductions and timely filing of returns.
- Assist in processing invoices payments and reconciling accounts.
- Perform regular bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare financial statements and reports as required by the management.
- Ensure adherence to accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate and uptodate financial records and documentation.
- Assist in the preparation and coordination of internal and external audits.
- Support the maintenance of the general ledger and ensure accuracy in account coding.
Requirements
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
- 35 years of experience in accounting with specific experience in IT filing GST filing and TDS filing.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Tally QuickBooks) and MS Office particularly Excel.

- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to identify and resolve accounting discrepancies.
- Strong organizational skills to manage documentation and records.
Key Responsibilities: Compliance: Adhere to all company, local, state, and federal accounting and financial regulations. Tax Handling: Manage GST filings (GSTR 1 & GSTR 3B), TDS filings, and Income Tax filings (ITR 1 to ITR 7). Financial Reporting: Compile, analyze, and report financial data. Create periodic reports such as balance sheets, profit & loss statements. Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records. Audit Operations: Perform audits, identify and resolve discrepancies. Tax Calculations: Compute taxes owed, ensure timely payment. Regulatory Awareness: Stay informed about current legislation relating to finance and accounting.
