Job Description

We are hiring Clinical Nurse Manager(Infection Prevention Control) in a nursing home in Tipperary
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Registered Provider/Director of Nursing the day to day management of the home
- Act as a member of the team including as deemed required by the Registered Provider/Director of Nursing the Multidisciplinary Care Team the Risk Management Team the Incident Management Team and the Infection Control Team.
- Endeavour to keep abreast of recent trends in developments by reading widely.
- Ensure resident confidentiality throughout the facility. Resident information shall not be discussed outside of the home except within a professional capacity and in the interest of the resident with the expressed permission of the Registered Provider/Director of Nursing.
- Motivate team members by agreeing goals and objectives through performance review.
- Be responsible for the management of care staff and appropriate dealing with regards to human resource issues.
Requirements
- Nursing Qualification
- Ongoing registration with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland
- Postgraduate in Gerontology
- Previous experience in Care of the Elderly
