Red Ember Recruitment is seeking to hire a payroll administrator based in Johannesburg.
- Liaising with Management and staff with payrollrelated queries.
- Payroll reporting to meet internal and statutory obligations.
- Manage effective internal/external client relationships within the area of responsibility.
- Continuous improvement of processes procedures and systems.
- Endtoend payroll processing.
- Monthend consolidations.
- Prepare and submit monthly salary actuals to the business.
- Performs a variety of Payroll accounting tasks e.g. GL allocations and payments.
- Reconciliation of employees PAYE SDL & UIF and any other legislative returns tax issues and any SARS queries.
- Process and submit GL accounts and journals.
- Assist finance with reconciliations and monthend reports.
- Prepare and reconcile all payroll thirdparty/ vendor payments.
- Assist with the preparation of the increase and bonus schedules and provisions.
- Providing guidance and support on all remuneration and benefitsrelated matters.
- Preparation of payrollrelated reports and summaries
- Assistance with endofyear processing and reconciliation including payment summaries Financial yearend
- Support and assist with adhoc HRrelated matters & Reports.
- Assist with Equity reports and queries.
- Supports in the application and administration of company benefit funds.
- STATS SA Submissions
- Prepare dummy payslips.
- Prepare/write adhoc reports for business as and when required.
- Assist with bursary processing and reconciling on payroll.
- Assist with preparing annual reports to Paris.
- Assist with RMA and WCA Submissions.
- Dealing with Auditors: Internal External Department of Labour and Bargaining councils.
Requirements
- Tertiary Qualification and/or relevant payrollrelated qualification is essential.
- At least 5 8 years of relevant experience.
- Advanced Payroll Tax knowledge and experience in tax issues queries and monthly and biannual submissions will be an advantage.
- Financial acumen and knowledge of SAP accounting software is advantageous.
- Employment equity knowledge and experience.
- Extensive knowledge of Sage 300 People Payroll software and all its different modules and ESS is essential.
- Advanced MS Office particularly Excel is essential.
- Indepth working knowledge of relevant tax legislation and employment conditions. Bargaining councils and other relevant legislation.
- Experience in PAYE SDL UIF WCA & RMA will be an advantage.
Minimum of 5 years proven experience as a Payroll Administrator or similar role. - Proficient in payroll software, preferably People300 - Strong numerical and analytical skills. - Excellent knowledge of labor legislation. - High attention to detail and accuracy. - Ability to handle confidential information with integrity. - Strong organizational and time-management skills. - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
