Tasks
- Algorithm Development: Design implement evaluate and optimize machine learning models for atomic graphs leveraging tools like TensorFlow PyTorch and scikitlearn.
- Model Integration & Management: Integrate machine learning models into our autonomous laboratory platform ensuring seamless operation with tools like Kubernetes and Docker.
- Monitoring & Debugging: Utilize monitoring tools such as TensorBoard to ensure the reliability and performance of deployed models.
- Reproducibility & Traceability: Maintain rigorous standards for reproducibility and traceability using Git DVC (Data Version Control) and comprehensive documentation practices.
- Research & Innovation: Conduct pioneering research to advance the application of AI in materials science contributing to initiatives like AI4Science and AI4Climate.
Requirements
- PhD or MS in Computer Science Machine Learning or a related field with a focus on deep learning.
- 3 years of experience in machine learning and software engineering roles with handson experience in training deep learning algorithms (e.g. GNNs Transformers) using cloud platforms such as AWS GCP or Azure.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and familiarity with libraries like TensorFlow PyTorch and scikitlearn.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g. Git) and good software development practices
- Strong communication skills in English and a proven ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
- Ability to thrive in a fastpaced dynamic startup environment.
Nice to Have:
- A strong publication record in toptier ML conferences or journals.
- Experience in designing and running largescale machine learning experiments
- Familiarity with material science datasets and participation in relevant challenges (e.g. Open Catalyst Project Matbench).
- Knowledge of deploying machine learning models in production environments using MLOps practices.
