We are working with a thriving 100-acre farm located in the beautiful countryside of North Yorkshire, specialising in the production of speciality herbs and baby leaves. The farm is equipped with a combination of growing environments, including polytunnels, and open fields, allowing them to cultivate high-quality, fresh produce.
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Farm Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our client s farm. This is a hands-on role that requires a proactive approach to managing all aspects of the production, from crop planning to coordination with the packhouse.
The Job
-Oversee daily farm operations to ensure optimal productivity and quality.
-Conduct regular crop walks to monitor plant health and identify potential issues.
-Develop and implement detailed crop plans, including scheduling and fertiliser application.
-Coordinate closely with the packhouse.
-Manage and motivate a team of farm workers, ensuring high standards of performance and productivity.
The Candidate
-Experience in farm management, preferable within the fresh produce industry.
-Familiarity with a variety of growing environments, including glasshouses, polytunnels, and field.
-Excellent leadership and team management skills.
-Ability to plan and organise effectively.
The Package
-Competitive salary of up to 45,000, commensurate with experience.
