Our client is a wellestablished manufacturer specializing in large machinery for the plastics industry. They have an immediate opening for an experienced Machine Wirer to join their team.
Job Summary:
The Machine Wirer is responsible for wiring machines equipment and their subassemblies according to electrical layouts and specifications.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Read interpret and comprehend wiring diagrams.
- Adhere to company philosophies goals and ISO9001 and 14001 policies and procedures.
- Report labor hours accurately and promptly.
- Apply material handling processes safely.
- Produce quality work within the expected time frame.
- Set departmental standards in housekeeping attendance and teamwork by example.
- Use standard hand tools and special tooling effectively.
- Interact professionally with customers in both plant and field settings.
- Communicate effectively with Leads and team members.
- Perform all line wiring operations with minimal supervision.
- Understand and manage the missing parts system.
- Train employees and customers as needed.
- Identify and address issues with electrical designs and parts.
- Recommend improvements for work areas products and processes.
- Perform prototype work with limited engineering input and minimal supervision.
- Oversee and execute machine installations in the field.
- Analyze designs for accuracy functionality and costeffectiveness.
- Build and wire panels and complete panel component changes.
- Handle wiring for multiple product lines.
- Complete safety training for overhead cranes and fall protection adhering to all safety requirements.
- Follow Lockout/Tagout procedures when applicable.
- Work safely and responsibly adhering to 5S standards in the work area.
- Report any discrepancies or errors in prints materials lists etc.
- Collaborate with teams on second and third shifts to ensure productivity and quality.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate s degree or equivalent from a twoyear college or technical school or 3 to 5 years of related experience or training or a combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrate leadership in problemsolving and continuous improvement efforts.
- Flexibility in handling highstress situations priority changes or new assignments.
Work Environment:
- Exposure to moving equipment mechanical parts in motion and hazards associated with a manufacturing environment including overhead cranes welding machining and painting.
