Job Title: Sound Proofing Installation Engineer (Self Employed)

Position Overview:
As a Sound Proofing Installation Engineer, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality soundproofing solutions to our partner's clients. You will be responsible for the installation of soundproofing materials across various areas, ensuring that all work meets company standards and customer satisfaction. This role demands a strong focus on customer service, adherence to health and safety regulations, and meticulous record-keeping.
Key Responsibilities:
Installation and Materials Handling:
- Collect and offload materials required for each job.
- Collaborate within the installation team to soundproof:
- Walls
- Floors
- Ceilings
- Cupboards
- Bespoke areas as specified by clients.
Customer Interaction:
- Communicate effectively with clients to ensure they are informed and satisfied with the work being carried out or any changes to the original plan.
- Provide a professional and positive customer service experience, keeping the clients' needs at the forefront of all interactions.
Health and Safety:
- Strictly adhere to all health and safety guidelines while performing duties on-site.
- Ensure that corporate clothing is clean and presentable at all times.
Administrative Duties:
- Inform the office of any additional work, time, or materials required during the project.
- Complete and submit timesheets to the finance department by Thursday before payday each week.
- Maintain organized and accurate records, including timesheets and receipts, to be handed in on a bi-weekly basis.
Weekly Responsibilities:
- Keep tools and the company van clean and well-maintained.
- Work proactively on bringing new clients to the company, contributing to business development.
- Ensure that the storage lock-up is organized and clean.
- Report directly to the Team Leader for any task-related queries or concerns.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Qualification in the building trade is required.
- Experience in:
- Carpentry
- Firestopping
- Groundworks
- Labouring
- Previous experience in soundproofing or related fields is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Organizational skills for managing tools, materials, and documentation.
Reporting:
- This position reports directly to the Operations Manager.
Travel and Overtime:
- Work overtime such as weekends and evenings as needed.
- Work out of town if needed.
Day Rate
- Self Employed Basis
- 185.00 - 200.00 less CIS dependent on skill & experience
