Overview:
This role is the key support to the Operational Risk department in the 2nd Line of Defence oversight role. The job holder must be an selfmotivated individual who will work with an Operational Risk Manager to liaise with the business areas and not afraid to challenge as a member of the 2nd Line of defence.

Operational Risk Management
Quality Control
Change Management
Cooperation with risk and control functions
Operational Risk Reporting
Development of operational risk policies and procedures
Raise Awareness for Operational Risk Training

Candidate Specification:
Experience in Risk and or Audit in the financial industry
Practical working experience with data
Practical knowledge financial services
Understanding of the ABCIBs regulatory environment
Broad knowledge of operational risk disciplines information security business continuity and disaster recovery compliance
Relevant knowledge of industry process control and risk frameworks
Professional qualification in risk management desirable but not essential
Evidence of professional development.
2 5 years experience within financial services sector
Building and raising awareness of issues and influencing the direction and actions
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Ability to influence and drive through an agenda of change and articulate the benefits to a varied audience
Strong presentation skills with the ability to effectively relate theory with practical application of concepts
Able to interpret and analyze multiple sources of data and provide clear and coherent summary reports
Confident in the disciplines for delivering change and process management across the organization
Ability to learn and adopt new practices and techniques
Manage a number of complex workflows and respond to urgent requests
Capable of building constructive working relationships provide challenge and influence people at all levels of seniority
