Security Architect

Salary: $100K 170K salary is negotiable based on experience.

Job Description:

The Security Architect will be responsible for designing building and maintaining the security architecture for our organizations IT systems. You will work closely with IT and business teams to develop security strategies policies and solutions that align with business goals while ensuring the highest level of security. This role requires deep technical expertise in security strong analytical skills and the ability to stay ahead of emerging threats.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop implement and maintain security architecture frameworks that protect the organizations IT systems networks and data.
• Conduct risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities in the IT infrastructure and develop strategies to mitigate those risks.
• Design and oversee the deployment of security solutions including firewalls intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS) and encryption technologies.
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure that security measures are integrated into all aspects of system design and deployment.
• Develop and enforce security policies procedures and best practices across the organization.
• Conduct security audits and penetration testing to assess the effectiveness of security controls and identify areas for improvement.
• Provide guidance and support to IT teams on secure coding practices configuration management and system hardening.
• Monitor the threat landscape and stay updated on the latest security trends tools and technologies.
• Respond to security incidents conduct forensic investigations and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
• Provide training and awareness programs to educate employees on security policies procedures and best practices.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards regulations and certifications (e.g. ISO 27001 NIST GDPR).
• Work with external auditors and regulatory bodies to ensure that security measures meet required standards.
• Prepare and present reports on the organizations security posture to senior management and other stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
• Minimum of 57 years of experience in IT security with a focus on security architecture.
• Strong understanding of security principles practices and technologies including firewalls IDS/IPS VPNs encryption and authentication methods.
• Experience with security frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001 NIST CIS Controls and GDPR.
• Proficiency in designing and implementing secure network architectures including cloud environments (AWS Azure).
• Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to identify and address complex security issues.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders.
• Experience with security tools and platforms including SIEM vulnerability management and endpoint protection.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP CISM CEH or SANS GIAC are highly preferred.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fastpaced teamoriented environment.
