Power BI Developer

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Power BI Developer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing developing and deploying business intelligence (BI) solutions using Microsoft Power BI. This role requires a deep understanding of data modeling data analysis and report development to provide actionable insights and help drive decisionmaking processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Power BI Report and Dashboard Development:

• Design develop and maintain interactive and visually appealing reports and dashboards using Power BI.
• Create and optimize DAX formulas for data calculations and visualizations.
• Integrate Power BI reports with other data sources like SQL Server Azure Excel etc.
• Implement rowlevel security in Power BI reports and dashboards.

Data Modeling and Transformation:

• Build and manage complex data models in Power BI by transforming raw data into meaningful insights.
• Use Power Query to cleanse and transform data from various sources.
• Collaborate with data engineers to ensure data is accurately captured and transformed.

Data Analysis and Insights:

• Perform detailed data analysis to identify trends patterns and anomalies.
• Provide insights and recommendations based on data findings to support business decisions.
• Ensure the accuracy and reliability of data visualizations and analyses.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:

• Work closely with business analysts data engineers and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Communicate effectively with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of BI solutions.
• Provide training and support to endusers on Power BI reports and dashboards.

Performance Tuning and Optimization:

• Optimize Power BI dashboards for performance ensuring reports load quickly and efficiently.
• Monitor and troubleshoot performance issues with reports and data models.
• Stay uptodate with the latest Power BI features and best practices.

Documentation and Governance:

• Maintain comprehensive documentation of Power BI solutions including data models reports and dashboards.
• Implement and enforce BI governance standards to ensure data accuracy consistency and security.
• Support the implementation of Power BI administration including workspace and user management.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems or a related field.

Experience: 4 years of experience as a Power BI Developer or in a similar BI role.

Visa Status: USC & GC Only

Technical Proficiency:

• Advanced proficiency in Power BI including Power Query DAX and data modeling.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and experience working with relational databases (e.g. SQL Server Oracle).
• Experience with data integration tools (e.g. SSIS Azure Data Factory) is a plus.
• Familiarity with other BI tools like Tableau Qlik or SSRS is an advantage.
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.

ProblemSolving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve complex problems and provide actionable insights.

Communication: Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders.

Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data analysis and reporting.

Certifications: Microsoft Power BI certification (e.g. DA100) is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in specific industry relevant to your company.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like Azure or AWS.
• Good to have experience in scripting languages such as SQL Python or R for data analysis.
