Assistant Galley Manager Cruise Ship
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Galley Manager in managing the daytoday operations of the galley and kitchen including meal preparation service and cleanup.
Monitor and maintain inventory levels of food supplies and equipment and place orders as needed.
Ensure that all food is prepared and served in accordance with company standards and guest preferences.
Train supervise and schedule kitchen staff ensuring that all team members are properly trained and adhere to company policies and procedures.
Maintain a clean and organized galley and kitchen and ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations.
Assist in the development and implementation of new menus and recipes taking into consideration guest feedback and dietary restrictions.
Monitor and control food costs waste and portion sizes to maximize profitability.
Collaborate with other departments such as the dining room and housekeeping to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.
Participate in onboard events and activities providing exceptional service and creating memorable experiences for guests.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory role in a highvolume food service establishment preferably in a cruise ship or hotel environment.
Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
Excellent organizational leadership and communication skills.
Ability to work well under pressure and in a fastpaced environment.
Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings weekends and holidays.
Must be able to pass a preemployment medical examination and obtain necessary travel documents.
